Jody Robson
With a highly successful health and fitness career spanning over 25 years, Jody Robson is the innovative owner of BODYCENTRAL Lifestyle Centre.

The inspiration to create the unique business that is BC, came to Jody out of a desire to deliver an amazing collection of services that would positively affect the lives of her staff and clientele.

BC’s culture and approach to business is a direct reflection of Jody’s approach to her life and work;

• Motivated by a love of helping others
• A commitment to always going the extra mile
• Paying close attention to the little things

It is Jody’s intention that everyone who enters BC has the time of their life and leaves feeling empowered, happy and rejuvenated.

Jody is the proud and loving mum to Isabella and hopes one day to entice her into the family business!

Not only is Jody a qualified fitness trainer, she also holds certification in other relevant areas including group fitness, skin therapies, skin science, laser safety and nutritional coaching. Jody is also a member of APAN (Aesthetics Practitioners Advisory Network).

Tony Robson
Tony is one of Perth’s health and fitness industry pioneers and brings over 25 years’ experience. His resume includes not only Champion Bodybuilder and Power Lifter but also reflects a deliberate commitment to honing his craft, such that he is regarded as one of Perth’s most exceptional lifestyle mentors, (many of his clients span 2 decades).

Creating businesses that thrive in the competitive world of health and fitness is no mean feat. Tony is an astute businessman which, combined with his insightful approach to working with people, and his infectious sense of humor, has enabled him to successfully navigate this path. Together with his wife Jody, he has owned health and fitness businesses for over 20 years.

Body Central Lifestyle Centre is, for Tony, a culmination of his life’s work; a place where people can come and enjoy their recreational time, working with the best coaches in an intimate and high spec environment that has a relaxed and fun-loving atmosphere.

Outside of his professional life, Tony is a proud father to Isabella (who is now 11 years old) with whom he enjoys the locals beaches, having taught her how to swim and surf; both actively participate at the Scarborough Surf Lifesaving Club with Tony being a lifetime resident of the suburb.

Tara Casserly

Tara brings an impressive career history to Bodycentral hence her appointment to the Management role of Senior Paramedical Skin Therapist.

Originating from Ireland, Tara was in no doubt about her path in life, having always been passionate about skincare. Her credentials include an ITEC Level 6 Diploma in Beauty and Diplomas in Facial Electrical Treatments and Massage Therapies along with certifications in IPL, SHR, laser, skin needling, advanced acne correctives and paramedical skin care.

…And this list doesn’t include all of the ongoing Professional Development courses she has completed to stay at the top of her field. Needless to say, Tara loves learning.
Her 11 years of industry experience include 5 years running her own beauty and skin clinic in Ireland for which she was awarded the Young Entrepreneur Spirit Award in 2010. Since relocating to Australia with her husband, Tara has successfully continued to achieve and build on her career, working in senior skin therapist and management roles.

Thrilled to now be a part of the innovative BC team, Tara is excited to apply her specialist paramedical skincare expertise whilst consulting with BC’s clients about their individual needs; she enjoys working with DMK and Image products having done so for over 9 years, with her knowledge in this area being unparalleled in WA. Her favorite treatments include the DMK enzyme mask and Dermalux LED photo therapies.

Outside of work, Tara keeps fit with Pilates and loves going on coffee dates with her hubby!

As a key member of the BC management team, Marnie has worked with Tony and Jody for over 8 years and has consulted on the BC project from its point of conception. She is a qualified personal coach and group fitness instructor with certifications including TRX, Kettlebells and Nutrition and Health.

Marnie’s coaching talent is well renowned in Perth. She is a realistic and engaging coach who loves to support people in their wellness journey. She has developed and delivered outstanding weight management programs (with some specifically focused to women), that have consistently created results for her loyal following. Underpinning this is her totally dedicated and inspiring attitude toward her own wellness regime.

Such is her reputation in the health and fitness arena, Marnie was interviewed by The ABC, providing a professional perspective about GP’s and obesity; she advocates that, “variety, consistency, commitment and enjoyment towards your training and nutrition are the key to success”.

Recently becoming a new Mum to a beautiful baby boy, Max, Marnie has continued to adapt her talents, designing programs specifically for pre and post-natal women, which further enhances her outstanding suite of skills.

Paul Butterfield

Let us introduce Paul, one of BC’s highly skilled Fitness Professionals who brings considerable fitness industry experience along with an impressive array of credentials which include Level 2 certification in Kettlebells and Levels 1 & 2 Boxing for Fitness through the Ricky Hadden Academy.

With 8 years competitive fighting experience (Freestyle Kickboxing with WAKO, as part of the Northern Ireland Team), Paul is a 6-time National Kickboxing Champion of Ireland who has also competed at European and World Championship levels.
These achievements are built on a foundation of over 35 years committed martial arts training and expertise. …not that he is the type of bloke to brag about his accomplishments, rather he is the type of person who likes to go about his business with consistency and humility.

Paul’s lifelong passion for fitness and living a truly healthy life are qualities he loves to share with his clients and which bring an authenticity to the coaching he delivers. His philosophy towards training is “Train hard, train smart and have fun”.

With his passion also being his profession, Paul is stoked to be a part of BC’s Fitness Team, saying that “opportunities to be a part of such a committed and polished team working with like-minded people, don’t come along every day”.

Describing himself as a devoted husband and family man, Paul and his wife are excited about the thought of becoming parents in the not too distant future!

Calum O'Connel
Fitness Coach
Calum has always been destined for a long-term career in sports and fitness. From a very early age not only was he always active and industrious, he was and still is an avid soccer fan. So much so, that he applied a seriously focused attitude to make a go of becoming a professional soccer player travelling across Australia to Brisbane, as well as to Singapore, to forge his career.
At the age of 18, he secured a position with Brisbane Roars to get the exposure necessary to secure a professional contract. Calum has been willing to do whatever is necessary to make his dream a reality. Such determination and commitment are rare qualities, which is why we are so delighted that Calum has chosen to be a part of our dedicated Fitness Coaching team.
With a solid 9 years’ fitness industry experience, working with a variety of reputable, boutique fitness firms in both Perth and Sydney, it is not surprising that Calum is able to contribute significant coaching prowess to BC’s clients that not only cover several fitness modalities (i.e. small group fitness instructing, boxing and yoga) but also include facilitating sporting groups from a mentoring perspective.
Calum’s top three tips towards fitness are, firstly to remember that fitness is something to enjoy; it’s not a punishment. Secondly the importance of setting goals; recognize the sense of well being that is evoked when goals are achieved which are so important for creating mental well being. And third is balance; mix things up as regards to your exercise and include both high intensity and gentler fitness modalities.
Not one to sit on his laurels, Calum’s latest venture has been to develop his own brand of fitness wear called Fearless. Involved in all aspects of this venture from design to understanding the business of retail, Calum is enjoying the new challenges that this venture is presenting to him. Suffice it to say, we love his fearless attitude.
